Driving Alzheimer’s research forward, in partnership with CaringKind

Our friends at Us Against Alzheimer’s recently announced that 27 Phase III and 8 Phase II Alzheimer’s disease drugs appear on track to launch in the next 5 years. While it remains to be seen which, if any, of these drugs will prove successful, the mere fact that so much Alzheimer’s research is being done is big news for a community made up of 5.4 million individuals who haven’t seen a novel treatment approved by the FDA since 2003.

But there’s something critical to remember about these potential treatments: They are still in clinical trials, and clinical trials require patients to take part so researchers can find answers. In fact, there are more than 160 Alzheimer’s trials open in the United States right now – and these trials need more than 240,000 patients to take part.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with CaringKind, New York City’s leading expert on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia caregiving, to provide their community with a quick and easy way to match to trials. Through this partnership, CaringKind now features Antidote Match, our unique clinical trial matching tool, so patients and caregivers can find trial matches just by answering a few questions.

If you or a loved one are living with Alzheimer’s disease and are interested in a clinical trial, start searching today by visiting CaringKind or entering Alzheimer’s in the search bar below. With your help, researchers can find better treatments – or maybe even a cure – for you and others like you.
