Lupus Research Alliance and Antidote partner to accelerate lupus research

Today, we are pleased to announce a new partnership with the Lupus Research Alliance to help lupus patients and their loved ones find and understand their clinical trial options in a new way. Right now, there are more than 120 clinical studies for lupus, and they need more than 35,000 people to take part. It’s only by increasing the number of patients getting involved in research that we can expand lupus treatment options as we continue to drive discovery toward a cure.

Using the new search tool, patients answer a series of questions online about their medical history and then receive a list of lupus trials for which they are likely a match. People with lupus and healthy volunteers can then get in touch with the researchers conducting any trials of interest through Antidote. And of course, all data is kept entirely confidential.

“Accelerating lupus treatment is a mission that affects us all,” says Sarah Kerruish, Chief Patient Officer at Antidote. “It’s a shame that there are so few treatments available for millions of people affected by lupus worldwide. This is an issue we can all help solve by making sure all patients know about their opportunities to take part in lupus research.”

The Lupus Trial Tool is available now at www.lupustrials.org/find-lupus-clinical-trial. For more information, visit www.lupustrials.org or www.antidote.me.
