Financial Times: "Shazam CFO jumps to drug research app TrialReach"

Keith Lowell, formerly of Shazam, has joined our team as Chief Financial Officer. The Financial Times covered the move:

"Keith Lovell spent the past nine-and-a-half years at the heart of the digital media revolution as chief financial officer of Shazam — the music discovery app that allows people to identify tunes they hear playing around them.

This week, he took up the same role at another UK-based start-up called TrialReach, which is aiming to transform the way the pharmaceuticals industry conducts clinical research. Mr Lovell’s decision to swap a popular smartphone app for the less glamorous world of drug trials highlights the rise of healthcare as a new frontier for digital innovation.

'TrialReach can be as big a brand as Shazam but it was also the chance to do something that made a social impact,' Mr Lovell told the Financial Times. 'Shazam was answering the question, ‘what’s that tune?’ TrialReach can help save lives.'"
