About Kidney Disease

Kidney disease occurs when the kidneys are no longer able to remove waste effectively or balance bodily fluids. Because kidney disease often has no symptoms, it can go unnoticed until it is very advanced. According to the American Kidney Fund, 30 million Americans have kidney disease, but 9 out of 10 don't know it. Diabetes and high blood pressure are the top causes of kidney disease.
